Take a guided tour of the world’s largest wholesale fish market.
Every day, a staggering amount of seafood arrives at the Tsukiji Fish Market and is presented to shoppers and restaurant buyers from all over Japan for evaluation. The market is a place of orderly chaos,
as people rush from one end of the market to the other weaving between electric delivery carts loaded with Styrofoam boxes filled with the freshest catch.
Only one travel can organize a special guided tour of the outdoor fish market with enough time to stop and taste the curious mix of different foods found here. Besides seafood, Tsukiji
it also has a huge fruit and veg market, shops selling pickles and other curious items, fresh wasabi root vendors (essential for any sushi or soba restaurant), tofu producers, knife shops and even some odd souvenir store souvenirs from Tsukiji, such as T-shirts and straps for your mobile phone. Your guide will introduce you to Japanese food preparation and a bit of the history of Japanese cuisine as we know it today.
To finish, there will be an early lunch in one of the small sushi restaurants that are located inside the market.
