The must see sights of Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa and Kyoto.
This tour begins in Osaka, following a mountainous inland route through the coastal regions of Honshu, then ends in Tokyo. You will have the opportunity to experience a green tea ceremony and see a kimono fashion show. Stay at a ryokan (traditional inn) where you can relax in the hot springs (onsen) and dine on gourmet kaiseki cuisine.
Our guides and private drivers will take you to visit the ancient capital of Nara, where we will visit the Todaiji Temple, the largest wooden building in Japan. At Nara Park, you can see more than 1000 Sika deer in the wild. Spend two days in the ancient city of Kyoto, where you will have access to the city’s gardens, temples, shrines, and specialty shops. Visit Arashiyama, the outskirts of Kyoto, famous for its bamboo forest and traditional Tenryuji Zen garden.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the beautiful, often overlooked city of Kanazawa. Here you will visit Kenrokuen Garden (one of the three best gardens in Japan). Then, head to Shirakawa-go and Takayama, nestled between the Japanese Alps. Due to their remote location, these places are very well preserved and have developed their own culture, unique in the rest of Japan. Visit the spectacular Black Crow Castle (Matsumoto Castle), one of Japan’s original castles.
See how awesome Mother Nature is at Mt Fuji and Hakone. Then finish your trip with a comprehensive visit to Tokyo. Visit Tokyo’s cultural landmarks, trendy neighborhoods, and various shopping districts. Learn how to make your own sushi from a professional sushi chef and savor your delicious creations. Explore attractions like the bustling streets of Shibuya, the Asakusa district with an old Tokyo atmosphere, Japan’s largest and busiest fish market, the historic Imperial Palace, and the record-breaking Tokyo Tower.
This tour allows you to travel through time and experience the culture, traditions and architecture that are uniquely Japanese.
