The Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium 東京 体育館 (Tōkyō Taiikukan?) Is a world-class sports complex located in Sendagaya, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Built in 1954 for the World Amateur Wrestling Championships, it was also used as the venue for gymnastics competitions at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, and will host the table tennis competition at the 2020 Olympics.1 The Gym It was rebuilt in a futuristic design by Pritzker Prize winner Fumihiko Maki and completed in 1991.
The gym is one minute walk from Sendagaya Station on the Chūō-Sōbu Line and Kokuritsu Kyogijo Station on the Toei Oedo Line.
