Visit Harajuku youth fashion and maybe choose a touch of “Harajuku Style”
Sunday is the best day of the week for sightseeing in Tokyo! Anyone with a passing interest in Japan’s youth culture should head to the Harajuku Bridge. Here you’ll see Tokyo at stake as groups of fantastically dressed teenagers happily pose for photos. Many wear cosplay costumes that resemble anime characters, Lolita dolls, punk and goth musicians. Takeshita-dori, a street perpendicular to Harajuku Station, is a great place to shop for the latest in youth fashions or just to enjoy the fun of the 100 yen shops.
Close to Harajuku, it is worth going to Yoyogi Park. On Sundays, a group of rockabilly dance enthusiasts do their thing; quite a surreal experience!
